This 1920s French Art Nouveau vase by Andre Delatte is an unusual stunner. While Delatte's furnace was located in Nancy, France and reportedly hired workers from Daum, also located in Nancy, Andre Delatte glass was not produced for or by Daum Nancy (as many online sellers imply) although much of its work was of similar design and quality. Andre Delatte closed shop in 1933 due to the depression while Daum Nancy continued producing glass and is in fact still in business. As such, Andre Delatte glass exists in far less volume than Daum Nancy today. This lovely piece appears to have been either professionally repaired at some point during or after production. Look closely at photo #4. This is very hard to spot and is not material for such an old piece.
