You're looking at a beautiful C.1959 Blenko #5924 bowl in Lilac by Wayne Husted, one of the most popular in the 'cut-out' motif. This bowl is popularly known as 'sheared', referring to the two cuts into the top of the bowl on either side that create the outstretched 'handles'. Like Husted's other sheared or cut out pieces, this beauty too is done in cased | sommerso glass with a clear base. The thick funky modern biomorphic vibe coupled with Blenko's killer 2-years only LILAC will leave you breathless. BLENKO is acid-etched on the base, as was all Blenko production during 1959.
