You're looking at a MAGNIFICENT and very unusual Murano glass gem, dated to the late mid-century era (as indicated by base wear). This heavy clear crystal glass bowl is decorated with wispy clusters of a magical periwinkle blue suspended throughout, with the interior of the bowl overlaid with tons of gold aventurine. The effect is remarkable--like looking into space and seeing the galaxies swirling about. Archimede Seguso has used this 'suspended cluster' method in his work, but as I've never seen this design before anywhere, I cannot safely attribute it to any particular maker. What I can tell you is that the quality and heft is considerable, and that this beauty has weathered the decades with nary a scratch (aside from base wear).
