Magnificent mid-century Murano sommerso glass geode bowl with a burgundy or fushia center (depending on strength of light) encased in yellow/clear uranium glass. This beauty has many moods depending on the direction you're viewing it in and the light (especially in black light where the uranium glows madly). While this beautiful piece is unmarked, my research suggests this piece is by Archimede Seguso. Naturally, many Murano firms had their versions of sommerso "geode" bowls, but in all instances of perfectly spherical two-colored geodes (the inner color being vivid, the outer pale or clear) in these dimensions that I could find with labels or professional attribution (e.g. in Leslie Pina's Italian Glass and Seguso books) were Segusos.
