BLENKO MCM Husted #5415 Architectural Glass Vase in Atomic Orange (TANGERINE!)

This spectacular Blenko architectural vase, #5415, first appeared in Blenko's 1954 catalog and is thought to be designer Wayne Husted's very first "Architectural" sized masterpiece. While Blenko produced this design for four years (1954 through 1957), it produced it for ONLY ONE YEAR (1957) in bright dreamy "Tangerine". In fact, our Tangerine specimen here was produced in the very first year that Blenko EVER produced their famous Tangerine orange! Moreover, This ALL-OVER orange, as opposed to the graduated yellows and reds that are common in Blenko's Tangerine, is how Wayne Husted designed and always intended "Tangerine" to look!
Our gorgeous Blenko stands 27.5" tall and is about 8" in diameter at the base. The clarity of the glass and the sparkling clean interior will wow you (some dust etc. appears to have accumulated in the bottom) and production values are very high here as well--no notable swirls, ash deposits, or significant bubbles.

CONDITION: Excellent albeit with the significant base wear expected on a large, heavy, nearly 70-year old piece of glass!
