THIS is a TO-DIE-FOR genuine documented hard-to-find mid-century Archimede Seguso alabastro glass decanter or perfume. This beauty is a pale pink, with the color best represented in the photo with the white background.
DIMENSIONS: Roughly 7" tall, 4.25" widest diameter
CONDITION: PRISTINE, save for some hard-to-detect wear on base.
Quick Rules to Determine if an Alabastro Piece is a Seguso:
1) You will NEVER see a BRIGHT non-opalescent WHITE in a Seguso alabastro piece. Here's a link to a Chinese fake Seguso alabastro: https://www.pinterest.com/pin/825425437926109953/. Seguso's white is always creamy and opalescent.
2) Seguso's white alabastro merges seamlessly into his other colors. You will never see a line of demarcation between alabastro colors (except when the base or wing is intended to be a different shade).
3) You will never see a separate clear layer of glass as the top layer of an authentic Seguso alabastro. Seguso's polished alabastro surfaces shine as though there's a clear glass layer, but you'll never be able to spot any separation in the layers.
4) I've never seen a documented Seguso alabastro piece with ANY clear glass--e.g. as a base, or a beak, or a foot UNLESS the base is a LUXARDO decanter.
